Pre-Press

Goddu Printing will provide you with all of the services and expertise necessary to take your project from concept through completion. We can assist you with design, color scanning, retouching, mechanical preparation and proofing. You can expect us to meet all of your needs and consistantly deliver state of the art quality.

Below you will find our pre-press requirements and recommendations. In general, a fully prepared project would include a mechanical prepared using QuarkXpress, images prepared at the proper resolution along with an industry accepted color proof. Large Format Commercial

Large format commercial projects should be prepared half size at a resolution of 300 ppi. Add 1/8" bleed on all sides at the mechanical size.

300 Line Screen Waterless

300 line screen waterless projects should be prepared full size at a resolution of 300 ppi. Add 1/8" bleed on all sides at the mechanical size.

LightJet

LightJet projects should be prepared half size at 300 ppi. The native format for LightJet printing is RGB. Files scanned in an RGB format will have a greated tonal range. We commonly convert CMYK files to RGB with excellent results but for the optimum quality possible RGB scans are best.

The viewing area is very important especially to those products that are placed in frames. If your mechanicals are not prepared exactly to the sizes listed but are to scale we will be happy to make the needed adjustments.
